Jay-Z is asking all New York City residents to support him in his efforts to open a casino in Times Square.

Through his entertainment agency Roc Nation, the 53-year-old rapper penned a letter blueprinting why he believes his company should be awarded the contract to open a casino in the city.

After three casino licenses were awarded to New York City last year, many high-profile bidders have been competing to secure the opportunity to open their own casino.

In the letter, the record producer insinuated that his company's partnership with Caesars Palace would benefit the city residents.

The entrepreneur stated that their 'innovative plan' proposes to 'draw additional tourists to our city' and 'enhance the lives of everyday New Yorkers'.
